"Dedicated to the memory of those countless Pushtun women, children and men who have perished in these wars leaving their promises unfulfilled."--Disc. Part of summary taken from insert.
Summary:
Documentary about the fearless and independent Pushtuns of FATA who have remained unconquered in history. However, today they are facing their biggest challenge from extremist forces that emerged after the fallout from the invasion of Afghanistan following the 9/11 attacks on New York. Here the warlords, arms dealers, drug barons and criminals have merged thus creating space for predatory attacks. Ironically the people of FATA find themselves refugees in their own homeland and are today hostage to the very people to whom they gave refuge in the first place.
