Summary:
On the busiest shopping day of the year, groups of idealistic college students wade into the throngs in malls across America to carry out an elaborate media stunt. They're carrying concealed devices they believe will disrupt stores' computer systems, causing chaos at the checkouts. But at the nation's largest shopping center, the devices explode, leaving several people dead. As Maggie and her partner, Special Agent R. J. Tully, investigate the case, they uncover a conspiracy.
