Lime Creek Conservation Area opened in 1980 and the Nature Center opened in 1984. This park is located off Highway 65 just north of Mason City, Iowa. The history of the Lime Creek Conservation Area and Nature Center was written by Cerro Gordo County Conservation Board staff, past and present. Local history of the area was researched and written by Rita Goranson.
