Summary:
Hollywood canteen: A GI on leave in Hollywood drops in at the Hollywood canteen, hoping to meet his dream girl. Thank your lucky stars: Joe Simpson and his double get involved in planning a patriotic show. This is the army: Jerry Jones, a singer/dancer, is drafted into the army in WWI and sent to Camp Upton in New York. There, he becomes responsible for putting on an all military musical show. As the U.S. enters WWII, Johnny Jones, Jerry's son, is drafted to Camp Upton too. During open house, the old-timers return and decide to do another stage show with Johnny directing.
