Summary:
On a cruise ship following World War II, a former concentration camp overseer recognizes someone who may or may not have been one of her prisoners at Auschwitz. This chance meeting triggers a series of flashbacks that ultimately speak to the complexities of domination and suffering, but also to the ever-present possibilities for resistance.
