Summary:
The dwelling place: The story of a young girl who is left after the death of her parents with the task of keeping her family together in the England of the 1830s. The glass virgin: The year is 1859 and Annabella Lagrange is ten years old.Living a life of luxury, she is blissfully unaware that her father is a spendthrift and a womanizer. His debts are threatening to ruin the wealthy family into which he married.
