From the moment Smudge awakens and stubs her toe, she's sure it's going to be a very, very bad day. Then there's the rain outside and the shirt that's misbuttoned. No wonder she has a fight with Stripe and runs away. That's okay--till night falls, and Smudge sits in her tree house all alone as evening falls. Will Smudge swallow her pride and go home again?
