"2e" added in red ink (very faded) at head of title page of first violin part; might refer to relationship of this publication to Bachmann's publication of B. 519-524 as op. XXVI with pl. number 738. IaU "Schytte," "C. Schytte," "Lain" (?), and "Palmer" (?) signed on title page and elsewhere in parts. IaU Engraved throughout; "XX" of engraved title page corrected in ink to "XXIV." Library's copy disbound from earlier binder's collection bound subsequent to publications. Various treatments (saddle and side stitching, reinforcement of spine of violino primo part with tape) still visible. IaU Title within ornamental border. "No 738" on title page appears as a result of the plate being used previously by J.J. Hummel for his edition of the duets B. 519-524 (Berlin : J.J. Hummel, [1789], pl. number 738), Benton 5155, RISM P-4074. This set of plates was subsequently used by Bachmann for his edition of B.519-524 (not in Benton), reissued from Hummel's plates with a re-engraving of the imprint information on the title page plate. It was this plate, with altered imprint information, but still retaining the "No 738" that was used for this edition of the duets, B. 513-518, pl. number 801.
