Accompanied by (laid in): Newsletter (1 sheet) and publishers' prospectus (1 sheet). "Eight original digital prints of weather by Claire Van Vliet based on her pulp paintings as well as other smaller images..."--Prospectus. Wooden slipcase measures 33 x 27 x 5 cm. "The 1515 Celestial Maps by Albrecht Durer were prepared from photographs provided by The National Gallery of Art Rosenwald Collection. The 1534 Caspar Vopel Constellation woodcuts are from Michael Alpert's copy of a 1569 edition of Aratus and were photographed at the Stinehour Press. The photo images were scanned and bitmapped by Claire Van Vliet for polymer plates made under the supervision of Cathy Smith at Boxcar Press in Syracuse, New York. Additional digital images for the weather segment were printed with an Epson SureColor P600. The text is set in Robert Slimbach's Utopia with Gill Sans titles printed by Andrew Miller-Brown from Boxcar polymer plates on Barcham Green Boxley on a Vandercook SP15 at the Janus Press in Newark, Vermont. The binding is longstitch sewn through Barcham Green Nefertiti with pulp painted cover paper made specially for this book by Katie MacGregor. The binding was made with assistance from Amber Holden and Linda Lembke; the maple and birch wood slipcase was made by Jack Sumberg in Glover, Vermont; the spine title was lasercut by Sara Pike at FreeFall Laser in North Adams, Massachusetts"--Colophon.
