Summary:

A freelance knight turns against the tyrant king he tutored as a boy by teaming with the last dragon on earth; an orphaned stable boy discovers the world's last living dragon and realizes his dream of becoming a knight can come true; after saving a dragon's life, Gareth and the dragon work together to defeat the sorcerer and stop his reign of terror; when King Gareth dies his potential heirs, twin grandchildren who possess the dragon's unique strengths, vie against each other for the throne.
