Alice, the black sheep of her family, has never enjoyed closeness with her father, and is the last of her sisters to hear he is dying. Daniel, a homeless artist, has embarked on a search for a woman he's never met - a search made more desperate by his own failing health. Both Alice and Daniel have gaping holes in their lives that might just be filled, if only their paths ever cross.
