It is 1969 and being a hippie in a small Colorado college town is not all peace and good vibrations. Jamie, no longer a boy and not yet a man, is struggling to find his own meaning in a multicolored, psychedelic world. His girlfriend, the beautiful Lisa, is threatening to leave him if he doesnt get himself together. A judge wants to haul Jamies best friend Mike into court for selling pot, Sherm the Sperm, the local policeman, wants to haul Jamie off to jail, and Patty, wild woman and hippie-chick deluxe, just wants to haul him into bed. It is the era of Richard Nixon, Woodstock, and the Kent State Massacre. Through it all far-out trips, political chaos, and heart-breaking tragedy - Jamie fights to get from here to manhood with the only tools he has love, understanding, and a little humor.
