Alex Delaware, a professional psychologist and occasional detective, has never quite put his affair with Sharon to rest. So years later, when he meets her again, it brings back the bittersweet of their love and breakup. But the next day Sharon is dead, an apparent suicide. How can it be? Alex vows to find the truth. With little to go on but Sharon's long-ago tales, he puts together a web of clues...an old film, some crude childish drawings, a photograph.
