Summary:
McCarthyism, western style. Just before Sheriff Dan Ballard slips the ring on his bride's finger, US Marshall Ned McCarthy interrupts the wedding ceremony and accuses our hero of a murder and robbery he did not commit. Through several cruel twists of fate and the vengeful manipulations of the villain, almost the whole town turns against the innocent man. Payne must stay alive long enough to clear his good name and bring the real bad guys to justice.
