"Lily has a non-verbal son and a daughter. Her many years of parenting have included working with schools and other specialists, ABA therapy, and extensive research on what can be done at home. She has learned to manage her own emotions and expectations so that she can see things through the eyes of her son. LIly has also dedicated time to volunteering at autism camps and workshops, which has deepened her knowledge of what families go through. Raising an autistic child can be an incredibly lonely experience, even when you hae a partner. Because ASD has such a wide range of signs and symptoms, you will never find another parent who is in exactly the same position as you are.
