Summary:
A detailed and unprejudiced examination of the remarkable Leni Riefenstahl, perhaps the most famous woman film-maker ever. Through a combination of her own words, still photographs, film footage, and visits to personally significant locations, the story of her life as an aspiring dancer and stage performer in the early 1920's to her passion for underwater cinematography at 91 is reviewed. Particular and extensive attention is paid to her relationship with the Third Reich and the films she made for the Nazi Party, a controversial association she has never been able to live down.
