Summary:

Dr. Michael Rosenzweig, the former editor of the journal Evolutionary Ecology left that journal--taking his entire editorial board--when he became disgusted with the yearly price increases the journal's owners imposed. He partnered with SPARC (Scholarly Publishing and Academic Resources Coalition) to create a priced non-profit journal titled Evolutionary Ecology Research to compete with his former publication.
