Summary:
Eleven-year-old Thyme Owens's family moves from San Diego to New York so her little brother, Val, can participate in a new cancer trial. The move is hard on Thyme, but she believes it is only temporary. Then her brother begins to improve and her father takes a permanent job in the city. As Thyme wishes things would change and they could move back, things take a turn for the worse. Thyme suddenly realizes the value of family and hopes it's not too late.
