Fien is devastated when her beloved Grandpa Bert has a stroke. After several long months in the hospital he comes home but cannot do all the things he used to be able to do. Though his abilities are greatly reduced, he is still the same old grandpa and Fien does everything she can to comfort him and help him heal. Staying right by Grandpa Berts side through speech exercises and physical therapy, Fien discovers that while her grandfathers body is impaired, his love remains intact.
