Summary:
Guided by the sheepdog Tess, a young boy named Tom is transported from the present to the time of World War II, where his friendship helps an orphaned evacuee named May. Meanwhile, in the present, Tom's parents are separated, and Tom is unhappy with his mother's plans for remarriage. Includes parent guide for family discussion.
