In April 1965, the bodies of General Humberto Delgado and his secretary were found in an Extremaduran town on the border with Portugal. The murders were the work of the Portuguese political police, commissioned by the dictator Oliveira Salazar and with the collaboration of Franco. Many years later, for Abel Castro, an old unemployed journalist who worked on the case, it is a forgotten matter. But he ceases to be when he receives a visit from Catarina, a young Portuguese photographer who is commissioned to tour crime scenes and wants to clarify a mystery that haunts her.
