Notes:
Edition of 1. A unique manuscript artist's book and binding. Handwritten title in lower left corner of first page; with date and artist's signature in ink: Timothy C. Ely. IaU Medium: Painted, ink, colored inks, gold leaf, handwriting, watercolor. "The visual theme of the hand appears on both covers as a black textured relief. Variations of the hand, digits, and bones appear on every page together with geometric circular and polygonal forms, maps, and mysterious hieroglyphic messages." --Sackner's description. The "text" rendered in Ely's invented style of "cribriform" script (a type of asemic writing--an intuitive yet very specific quasi-calligraphic gestural writing form having no specific (or open) semantic content).
