They travel together, live life together through its ups and downs, and most importantly, will do anything for each other. Over the past 20+ years, a progressive neuromuscular disease has slowly taken away Justin's ability to use his arms and legs. From each morning until night, Justin requires daily assistance in every aspect of life such as eating, getting dressed, bathing and even using the restroom. Though immensely challenging, Justin continues to live life to the fullest and maintains a positive attitude through it all! In the spring of 2012, Justin learned about the Camino de Santiago while watching Rick Steves on Public Access TV. Soon after, Justin asked his lifelong friend, Patrick, what he thought about tackling the ancient pilgrimage. Patrick's response was simple and direct. He said, "I'll push you." Two years later, they started their journey and had absolutely no idea how they would make the 500 miles from the southwest of France to the Cathedral in Santiago; over several mountain ranges like the Pyrenees, through rivers, and across the vast "desert of Spain" called the Meseta they just knew they had to get there. Justin and Patrick had to rely on the help and strength of friends, acquaintances and even complete strangers in order to navigate the many challenges they faced on their 35-day journey. 500 $a Special features: Deleted scenes; The theatrical event's pre-show videos; post-show Q & A with host Billy Gilman. 600 10 $a Gray, Patrick, $d 1975- $x Travel $z Camino de Santiago de Compostelaz. 600 10 $a Skeesuck, Justin, $d 1975- $x Travel $z Camino de Santiago de Compostelaz. 650 0 $a Friendship $x Christianity. $x Christianity. 650 0 $a Neuromuscular diseases. 650 0 $a Christian pilgrims and pilgrimages $z Santiago de Compostela. $z Santiago de Compostela. 651 0 $a Camino de Santiago de Compostela. 700 1 $a Parish, Terry. 700 1 $a Karcher, Chris. 700 1 $a Gray, Patrick, $d 1975- $e on-screen participant. 700 1 $a Skeesuck, Justin, $d 1975- $e on-screen participant. 700 12 $a Gray, Patrick, $d 1975- $t I'll push you : a journey of 500 miles, two best friends, and one wheelchair. 710 2 $a Emota, Inc. 941 $a 3 945 $a dvv 952 $l OZAX845 $d 20240525041705.0 952 $l HQPD845 $d 20240516014145.0 952 $l USUX851 $d 20210505013209.0 956 $a http://locator.silo.lib.ia.us/search.cgi?index_0=id&term_0=B5EE4D22D7AA11EAACEF483997128E48 994 $a C0 $b IWAInitiate Another SILO Locator Search
