The 12-hour discussion was held to coincide with the 2500th anniversary of the battle of Marathon (490 BC), and addressed the notion of the Marathon race as a format of enduring collective endeavor and transcultural communication. An extension of the series of Marathon events - conceived by Obrist and held at Serpentine Galleries in London and in various cities around the world - the Marathon Marathon Project explored questions of identity, antiquity, democracy and the politics of representation at a time when the outbreak of the Greek crisis was becoming symbolic of larger socioeconomic shifts and political rifts. 651 7 $a Greece. $2 fast $0 (OCoLC)fst01208380 648 7 $a 2000-2099 $2 fast 655 7 $a Interviews. $2 fast $0 (OCoLC)fst01423832 600 10 $6 880-03 $a ValaoÌriteÌs, Nanos $v Interviews. 880 14 $6 600-03 $a ÎαλαÏÏιÌÏηÏ, ÎαÌÎ½Î¿Ï $v Interviews. 600 10 $a Caniaris, Vlassis, $d 1928- $v Interviews. 650 0 $a Artists $z Greece $y 21st century $v Interviews. 650 0 $a Intellectuals $z Greece $y 21st century $v Interviews. 650 0 $a Arts, Greek $y 21st century. 650 0 $a Artists $v Interviews. 650 0 $a Arts, Modern $y 21st century. 700 1 $a Caniaris, Vlassis, $d 1928- $e interviewee. 700 1 $6 880-04 $a ValaoÌriteÌs, Nanos, $e interviewee. 880 1 $6 700-04 $a ÎαλαÏÏιÌÏηÏ, ÎαÌνοÏ, $e interviewee. 700 1 $a Argyropoulou, Nadja, $e editor. 700 1 $a Obrist, Hans Ulrich, $e interviewer. $e interviewer. 710 2 $a Deste Foundation for Contemporary Art, $e publisher. 941 $a 1 952 $l USUX851 $d 20180802013642.0 956 $a http://locator.silo.lib.ia.us/search.cgi?index_0=id&term_0=D100A88E7E8911E893E09E1097128E48 994 $a 92 $b IWAInitiate Another SILO Locator Search
