Busy realtor Julie Sterling is encouraged by her boss to do some community service and volunteer as a troop leader for the Girl Scouts. Julie couldn't be more ill-fitted for the job. She forges a friendship with a misfit youth group desperately in need of some self-confidence. Her scouts teach her to enjoy what's important in life, and Julie instills in the girls a sense of pride, self-esteem, and friendship. She takes on the challenge to win her troop top honors: a trip to The Rose Bowl parade.
