Summary:

Veronica's father, Mr. DiAngelo, saves Pine Hollow from going broke by becoming an investor and training his young racehorse, Windsong, at the stables for the Belmont Cup. Carole becomes concerned about Windsong's erratic behavior, and with the other members of the Saddle Club, sets out to help the horse.When Windsong misses the race, Mr. DiAngelo is unable to give Pine Hollow any more help as he has lost too much money, and even Veronica will have to work at the stables for her horse's board.
