Summary:
Jean de Florette is the story of an optimistic hunchback whose unscrupulous neighbor and his nephew work to steal his land, which contains an important secret spring, leading to tragedy. Manon des sources picks up the story 10 years later as the hunchback's daughter has grown into a beautiful shepardess who seeks redress for the death of her father, again leading to a tragic conclusion.
