Summary:
Danish actor/director Benjamin Christensen appears in the first work as a military man who is wrongly accused and convicted of treason in wartime; in the second film as a man who was wrongly convicted and imprisoned for murder and seeks revenge on the woman who betrayed him when he's released many years later.
