Summary:
Among Equals: explores the importance of peer relationships in middle childhood development. Children are seen working out moral dilemmas and social relationships and developing strong self identity. Participation in youth groups and team sports become rehearsals for life. House of tomorrow: a look at emotional and physical transformations, characteristic of puberty and adolescence. The biological metamorphosis of youth into men and women is marked in various cultures. Whether adolescence is stressful or manageable depends on how parents and teachers respond to the individual throughout childhood. It matters greatly what we do and say to our children.
