Summary:
To provide documentation of the Data Processing System designed for the maintenance and retrieval of Traffic Control Devices. This System was designed as part of the project Developmental Phase of a Traffic Control Device Inventory for the Iowa State Highway Commission. Full development of inventory procedures, analysis, and evaluation criteria are contained in the principal project report. This manual is present in three sections: Sign Inventory, Signal Inventory, and Pavement Marking Inventory. Each section describes the System, Input/Output Media and the various Computer Programs developed for the System.
