After stealing his father's valuable coins, Peter Ormond has them stolen, takes a job herding mustangs with Charley Gunderson, and is confronted by his father's servant. Then, the three are bushwhacked and hop a military train to escape, only to enlist in Teddy Roosevelt's Rough Riders and soon find themselves on their way to invade Cuba.
