"Erster teil der drachen-nimbus-trilogie. Nur in Coronnan hat man Zugriff auf Magie. Diese Magie wurde von Drachen erschaffen und kann von geschulten Magiern dem Drachen-Nimbus "entzogen" werden. Die in Coronnan heimischen Drachen sind durch einen Eid gebunden, die von ihnen geschaffene Magie nur zum Besten des Landes einzusetzen. Tatsächlich ist das Land von einer magischen Barriere umgeben, die eigentlich undurchdringlich sein sollte. Doch gewisse Magier sind der finsteren Magie mächtig, und zumindest einer von ihnen hat etwas gegen Drachen. Er beschuldigt sie, Coronnan isoliert zu haben. The dragons native to Coronnan are bound by an oath to use the magic they create only for the good of the land. In fact, the land is surrounded by a magical barrier that should be impenetrable. But certain mages are powerful of dark magic, and at least one of them has something against dragons. He accuses them of having isolated Coronnan. When finally the first dragons are killed, the magic barrier weakens ... -- and fate takes its course."--
