The Twelve Detectives, a society of the world's most famous sleuths, convene as a single body for the first time at the Paris World's Fair in 1889--with the exception of founding member Renato Craig who sends his novice assistant Sigmundo Salvatrio in his place--where they find themselves called upon for more than just a seminar when the exhibition is scarred by a series of murders.
