Summary:
Santos Luzardo ha llegado al pueblo, para visitar a su primo y reclamar la parte de sus tierras que Doña Bárbara le arrebató. Un bello romance surge entre Santos y Marisela, la hija abandonada de la Doña. La felicidad de ambos se verá eclipsada cuando Doña Bárbara se interese por Santos y utilice toda su maldad para destruir a Marisela y poder devorar a su hombre. Doña Bárbara, feared for her witchcraft, becomes involved in a land dispute with Santos Luzardo, a lawyer who has come to take charge of his property. Both she and her daughter fall in love with the lawyer.
