The scientists call Clementine a genius and a good lab mouse. But it's lonely to feel so different from the other mice. Only in late-night visits with a thoughtful chimpanzee named Rosie does Clementine find friendship. When Clementine is set free by a compassionate lab technician, all she can think about is how to get back to Rosie. But the world outside the lab holds many big experiences for a mouse of unusual intelligence and heart, and Clementine soon discovers a larger purpose for her unique gifts.
