Summary:
Carl Panzram wrote his autobiography for jail guard Henry Lesser at the Washington D.C. District Jail in 1928. In it, he described a life of imprisonment and torture in the reform schools, jails and prisons of early twentieth century America. Panzram also detailed 21 murders which he committed as a twisted form of revenge on society. The Panzram Papers offer keen insight into the mind of the most criminally minded man in America.
