Summary:
Set in the USSR in 1955 when in order to rebel against the oppressive Soviet regime, young Russian "hipsters" would copy the fashions and slang of US teens. A shy Communist youth, Mels, falls in love with the glamourous Polya and leaves his brigade commander girlfriend.
