First publication of the Lincoln Legal Papers, documenting the law practice of Abraham Lincoln from 1836 to 1861 with more than 5,600 cases and legal matters in which Lincoln participated. Cases are described in narrative form and indexed by legal and historical topics; also includes authoritative essays on Lincoln, the court structure, and contemporary legal pleading and practice.
