Of these, 80, bound in quarter morocco & patterned paper, slipcased, and accompanying by a signed proof of a second state of the frontispiece, constitute the Deluxe state of the edition; a further five Deluxe copies are hors commerce. The 50 copies in the Regular state are bound in quarter cloth and patterned paper"--Colophon. "... The type was hand-set by Crispen Elsted, with the exception of the introduction and most of the titles, which were set by our apprentice, Lea Sánchez Milde ... Jan Elsted arranged the placement of the engravings. The text type is Eric Gill's Joanna, cast by Michael and Winifred Bixler at their letterfoundry in Skaneateles, New York ... Delphian, designed by R. Hunter Middleton in 1928, and Hermann Zapf's Optima are used for display. The papers are mouldmade Zerkall-Bütten Book White and Cream from Papierfabrik Zerkall Renker & Co., Dueren, Germay. The cover papers, from engravings by Richard Wagener, were pasted up at the press and printed offset at Globe Printers, Abbotsford, B.C. The books were bound by Alanna Simenson at Mad Hatter Bookbinding in Sooke, B.C. Jan Elsted printed the book. The engravings were printed from the original blocks.
