"Forced to learn the Pale Eyes ways at a Pennsylvania boarding school, Daniel Killstraight has never fit in with many Comanches. That takes Dnaniel and others away from a smallpox outbreak on the reservation--until the Comanches are blamed when the terrible disease breaks out in Albany, Texas. After an old Army scout is murdered, Daniel is put to the test to save himself and his people from angry Texans and a deadly diseases.
