A month has passed since the incident of the haunted hockey puck, and Casey is looking for excuses to see Beth Markle, the sensitive twin, outside of school, so when she asks him to accompany her to inspect an antique phonograph player that is refusing to play records, he is delighted--and soon the children are investigating the fate of the woman who once owned the phonograph, and who appears to want to hear her favorite song.
