Bahman Jalali is one of the key figures in contemporary Iranian photography. His artistic position is increasingly perceived in the art world as a major contribution to photography.His work is a testimony to the Iranian Revolution, the Iran-Iraq War and the post-war years. It also documents daily life as well traditional architectural forms. His role in conserving, studying, and transmitting the cultural heritage of his country in his photographs has made him one of the most important chroniclers of contemporary Iranian society and culture.
