"Iraq is holding parliamentary elections on October 10, 2021. Without change, hundreds of thousands of people with disabilities will face barriers to participation and some of them may not be able to vote. This report lays out the legal and practical barriers that people with disabilities face to participate in Iraq's political life, from discriminatory laws to inaccessible polling places. It presents concrete and realistic recommendations to Iraq authorities, international organizations and donor governments on how to lift these restrictions, both before next month's election and for the longer term"--Page 4 of cover.
