Summary:
When Roger, a delinquent boy, is sent to live with his grandfather for the summer, he discovers his grandfather is secretly protecting a friendly, turtle-like creature named Mel. Because of Roger's behavior, his grandfather is put in jail and a greedy land developer captures Mel. Roger has to take responsibility for his actions to free his grandfather and Mel.
