The ideas and activities in this invaluable resource enrich learning centers with experiences that follow a literacy scope and sequence to help children become successful readers. Each activity includes a list of materials, instructions, a vocabulary list, a skill focus, and theme connections. Many include an additional idea and a link to stories, songs, games, and poems on the PBS KIDS· website that can be used to support childrens learning. Learning centers include: ABC, art, blocks, library, math and science, pretend and play, sand table, and writing.
