Summary:
1970. Brazil and the world are keeping their heads down, but the biggest concern in the life of Mauro, a 12-year-old boy, has little to do with the military dictatorship that reigns in the country: his biggest dream is to see Brazil three-time world football champion. On a vacation to see his grandfather he is separated from his parents and forced to adapt to a "foreign" but fun community--Bom Retiro, a neighborhood in Sao Paulo, home to Jews and Italians among other cultures. An exciting story of resilience and solidarity.
