Summary:
SkypeLab is a research laboratory of students all over the world within increasingly expanding networks across universities, cities, continents as well as disciplines and mediums. SkypeLab purposefully brings artists together within differing time zones, seasons and cultures mediated through digital screens where all are collapsed into a common experiential space. The experiences from this project, insights and new ways of integrating digital tools into art and design are shown in workshops and exhibitions over 3 continents. This publication documents results from the participating artists and curators from Melbourne, Shanghai and Reutlingen as well as the exhibition in the Staedtische Galerie Reutlingen in 2016.
