Luke Canfield was an ordinary Iowa farm boy when an extraordinary set of circumstances enhanced his awareness and triggered his ability to know the thoughts of others. Throughout his life, forces beyond his control dictated his every move; like a grain of sand swept up by the sea of life; twisting and turning, pushing and pulling, but ever in the direction of his destiny. An inner voice leads him to Arizona where he becomes a Phoenix police officer. There, he is met with many strange and perilous situations that would have ended his life if not for his phenomenal gift of insight.
