The proposed project begins where the existing four-lane roadway transition into a two-lane roadway, approximately 1.2 miles west of Mount Vernon, nd would end approximately 2 miles east of the Linn/Cedar line. Alternative E was determined the Preferred Alternative. The Preferred Alternative would include  approximately eight miles of four-lane roadway with two proposed interchanges.
