Summary:
At the peak of the Heian era, famine and disease tear the country apart. The legendary samurai Minamoto is sent on an imperial quest to restore the world, but even his skill with the bow cannot save him from illness. His young sister is forced to take his place, and her survival in the emperor's court depends on keeping her true identity hidden. She journeys with her companions to find the magatama, and a mysterious turn of events throws them into an epic struggle.
